Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to share the love of the One who will never fail. God’s love is endless, always there, and never changing. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).Following are some crafts you can intentionally use to point your kids back to Jesus as you share about His love and the ultimate sacrifice He made. You can share how Jesus died on the cross for their sins, defeated death when He rose again, and made a way for us to live forever when we choose to trust and believe in Him.
While schedules are busy, these crafts will help you take a moment to share with your child about what matters most. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and try some of these easy, stress-free Valentine’s Day craft ideas. No matter your child’s age or abilities, you’ll find a fun idea for your family. If you have younger kids, encourage them as they scribble and make a fun, messy, probably lopsided craft. For your older kids, use this time to talk to them about what God’s love means to them and their lives.
As you make the crafts, read some of the following verses and share about how God’s love changed your life. Use this time as a simple discipleship moment with your kids and share a special memory.
Bible Verses:
For great is His steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord! (Psalm 117:2).
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love (John 15:9).
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).
