About ChildDiscipleship.com

Welcome to ChildDiscipleship.com

We’re grateful you’re here — and encouraged by your desire to help children know, love, and serve Jesus for a lifetime. Whether you serve in a local church or lead discipleship at home, you’re not alone in this calling.

ChildDiscipleship.com is a ministry of Awana. We are a global, nonprofit organization that has served the church for more than 75 years and we exist to help parents and church leaders form lasting faith in the next generation. Everything here is shaped by a simple conviction: The Gospel of Jesus Christ, revealed in Scripture and lived out through intentional relationships, is God’s plan for forming resilient disciples.

Here are five things you should know.

1. We’re Focused on Eternal Impact

Our aim is clear. We want to help children follow Jesus for the rest of their lives.

That’s why our work centers on biblical discipleship, not ministry trends. This is about more than activities or programming. It’s about shaping faith that lasts, faith that can endure cultural pressure, spiritual doubt and a rapidly changing world.

We equip the church and the home with research-informed insights, biblically-faithful resources and practical tools. We invite you to hold us to that standard and to join us in keeping our eyes fixed on what matters most.

2. We Bring Deep Experience to the Conversation

You’ll hear from pastors, children’s ministry leaders, parents, researchers and practitioners who have spent decades discipling kids in diverse churches and contexts.

This is not theory for theory’s sake. Years of ministry have formed this wisdom, tested it in real families and real churches and shaped it by a shared commitment to the authority of Scripture and the centrality of the Gospel in our life and practice.

3. We Believe Insight Should Lead to Action

Good research matters. So does faithful theology. But insight only becomes meaningful when it leads to faithful practice.

That’s why we pair cultural analysis, research findings and theological reflection with clear, actionable steps you can use right away. Our goal is to help you think clearly and then act faithfully, in your everyday discipleship of children.

4. We’re About More Than Articles

ChildDiscipleship.com is part of a larger movement.

We host gatherings, lead trainings, and offer discipleship tools designed to equip the church for long-term impact. This includes the Child Discipleship Forum, Resilient Child Discipleship Training, practical curriculum pathways for churches and families, and in the spring we will be launching Child Discipleship Cohorts.

We’ve also partnered with Barna on the largest known research study focused specifically on child discipleship in the local church—because understanding the moment helps us respond with wisdom and hope.

We also offer a handful of easy-to-use curriculums centered on child discipleship. We recommend exploring Brite for weekends and Awana Clubs for midweek. If you would like more information choose one of the links below.

Whether through events, training, or curriculum, our desire is the same: to help the church disciple children with clarity, confidence and conviction.

5. We’re Grateful for Gospel-Fueled Support

Awana has served the church for more than 75 years. And each week, Awana partners with tens of thousands of churches to reach millions of children around the world with the Gospel. This work is made possible through the generosity of donors who believe in the power of God’s Word to transform lives.

If this ministry serves you, we invite you to prayerfully consider supporting Awana and the work we do here at ChildDiscipleship.com.
