Who Prepared the Way for Jesus Christ?

When God sent His chosen messenger, John the Baptist, to His people, He knew they weren’t quite ready. Maybe they were struggling with sin or were tired or overwhelmed. Maybe they had lost hope their Messiah would really come. John was sent to prepare the way for the Lord — to help prepare their hearts for the coming Savior. Some heard the truth, repented of their sins and made an outward proclamation of their faith as John baptized them with water. Soon, Jesus arrived, and nothing would ever be the same.

You may be struggling with sin. You may be tired and overwhelmed. But because of Christ, we can lay our burdens down at the foot of the cross, repent and prepare our hearts to worship our Savior Jesus Christ.
