Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending Jesus to be our Redeemer. We praise You for forgiving us, even when we are sinners. Help us know, love and serve You more each day. Amen.
When we are a follower of Jesus, we trust He took our sin and gave us His righteousness. Share with your family your favorite verse about Jesus’ perfect redemption. (Romans 3:23-24, 5:8, 5:15 and 6:23 are some great examples!)

Help your kids understand the word “redeem” by giving them a coupon to purchase a treat. When you take the coupon and give them a free treat, explain that Jesus took our sin and gave us a relationship with God!
Read Titus 3:4-6 with your children. Ask your child how they would respond to someone who believes God will save them if they are “good enough” or do enough good things.
Help your children create a cross out of popsicle or paint sticks. (You can also draw one on paper!) After your kids have decorated the cross, hang it up with a piece of yarn. Remind your kids that Jesus is our perfect Redeemer, who died on the cross to make the payment for our sins.

Encourage your kids to search the Bible for examples of redemption. When it seemed hopeless, how did God perfectly provide? (Genesis 22, 45 and Exodus 12 are great places to start!)
