Where Are Those Without Christ?

During one of the darkest nights of our year, Christmas comes and covers the world with light. Whether found in a store, wrapped around a tree or in our home, almost every Christmas display includes light. As soon as the lights come on they fill everyone with joy and hope. 

When the Israelites were walking in the darkness of sin and disobedience, God promised that one day a Light would come. This Light would be so bright It would bring sight to blind eyes, freedom to captives and salvation to the ends of the earth. It would illuminate the darkness of sin-filled hearts and fill God’s followers with joy and hope. What the Israelites didn’t know is that the Light would come in the form of a baby – a bundle of joy that would bless His family, His community and the world.

As you and your family talk about the birth of Jesus this Advent season, be encouraged. We don’t have to walk in the darkness of sin anymore. As believers, we know Jesus, the Light of the World.
