Gather together a bowl of water and 1 bottle of food coloring. Have your child add just 1 drop of food coloring to the water and see what happens. If you mix the drop around, it contaminates the entire bowl of water. That’s what sin does to our lives and it’s why we need a Savior (Jesus) to save us.
Find
This week’s verse is found in the book of Romans. Help your child find the book of Romans. Is this book in the Old or New Testament? How many chapters are there?
Create
Provide your child with a handful of pipe cleaners and ask them to spell their name.
Then, straighten all the pipe cleaners back out and ask them to try again with their eyes closed. Explain how sin blinds us and makes it hard to do what God asks us to. Thankfully, if we ask, God will guide our decisions and help us avoid sin.
