Who Always Was and Will Be?

Have you ever been in the midst of a trial and wondered … how long? How long until the terrible twos end? How long until the pain is gone? How long until I see a clear path forward? When the days are long and the choices are hard, it’s hard to see these moments for what they really are — a small blip in light of eternity.

As Christians, we worship an eternal God Who controls every moment from eternity past to eternity future. We may not get to know all the details, but we can trust “this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:17-18).
