How Can I Spend My Time Wisely?

It’s pretty easy to blame others for wasting my time. But typically, they aren’t the problem. I am. I scroll mindlessly, worry unnecessarily and focus on inconsequential things. And the whole time, my kids are watching. They see exactly what my priorities are by watching exactly how I spend my time. But the world’s to-do list will not produce eternal results for my kids.

I want my children to have a vibrant faith that reflects God’s glory to those around them. I want them to be immersed in Scripture and have a deep, abiding relationship with Him. Screens alone aren’t necessarily what’s keeping us from our Creator; but more often than not, they make it too easy for us to be drawn into the temporary rather than the eternal. It doesn’t have to be this way for you or your kids, and we can start this week. Let’s rearrange our priorities and spend time teaching our kids to seek the wisdom that comes from God, who gives generously to all without reproach.
