How Can I Respond to Knowing Christ?

Think for a minute back to the day Christ saved you. Maybe you remember the exact place, the unforgettable circumstances and the clear voice of God. Or maybe you have a childhood memory of trusting Jesus in church, or with your parents just before bed, or a quiet moment between just you and Him. Even though our stories may differ, God opened our eyes and saved our souls.

When Paul encouraged the Philippian believers to press on, he wanted them to run toward their Savior with the same love and excitement as the day they were saved. Just like the Philippian jailer, Paul wanted them to spread the Good News with their entire household and rejoice at the opportunity of knowing Christ!

This week, let’s forget what lies behind us — the mistakes we made or the chances we missed. Instead, let’s press on and lead our family toward the prize of knowing Christ.
