Create a thankful jar to use during the next month. Encourage your kids to look for God’s goodness in their lives and tell you where they have seen Him. Briefly write their answers on a slip of paper to drop in the jar. At the end of the month, set aside some time to read your family’s responses to God’s goodness. Praise Him for His faithfulness to your family.

Think about someone you know who could use encouragement. It could be a friend, neighbor, family member or teacher. Encourage your child to send them a card in the mail that contains a prayer to the Lord, thanking Him for His goodness. Pray for the person who will receive the card.

Find this week’s verse in the book of Psalms. Do you know who wrote this psalm? When did this person live?
List
Help your child create a list of seven of their favorite people, pets or things. Once the list is complete, let them choose one item on the list every day this week and thank God for it in prayer.
