Who is at the Right Hand of God Interceding for Us?

Jesus came to Earth to save sinners. Soon after He was raised to life, Jesus returned to heaven. Just before Jesus left Earth, He told His followers they would not know the time or season when He would return to set up His earthly kingdom. But, the Bible does tell us some of the things Jesus is doing while He is in heaven. Today we learned Jesus is interceding for us. The Bible also says Jesus is preparing a home for those who believe in Him! In John 14:1-4, Jesus tells His followers He would prepare a place for them in heaven. Someday, He will come again and take all believers to be with Him in heaven.

Before Jesus returned to heaven, He gave His followers instructions about how to spend their time left on Earth. Jesus told His followers to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them all that He had commanded. (Matthew 28:19). We can spend our time wisely, too, just like Jesus’ followers! We can share God’s Word with our friends and family members, and encourage them to do what it says. While we wait for Him to return, we can also love God and serve those around us (Matthew 22:37-39).
