What Did God Promise Abraham?

When God chose Abraham as the father of the Israelite nation, He honestly didn’t give Abraham many details. In fact, Hebrews 11:8 says that Abraham followed God, not even knowing where he was going. But he stepped out in faith, knowing something better was coming.

Throughout Scripture, God chooses the poor, unlikely, and even outcasts to set His perfect plan in place. Abraham was a liar, David was a murderer and John the Baptist didn’t fit in with anyone!  And while they weren’t perfect, they were chosen by God to fulfill His plan of redemption.

This Easter season, let’s step out in faith and lead our families to the foot of the cross. We may not be perfect, but God chose us to show our kids Jesus, His chosen Savior.
