Which is your favorite, watching the sunrise or sunset?
The sun rises and sets every day, giving everyone and everything on the earth the perfect amount of light. It provides warmth, light and even makes life possible on our planet. Just like Earth has only one sun, there is only one God. He alone created Earth, the sun and the entire universe. He alone can save us from our sin and give us eternal life.
Throughout the Bible, God shows us there is no one and nothing like Him. He is the one true God. When the Israelites, God’s chosen people, weren’t following God’s ways, God used Isaiah to remind the Israelites there is NO ONE like Him. Can you help me find Isaiah chapter 44, verses 6-8? This book is in the Old Testament.

Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and His Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last; besides Me there is no god. Who is like Me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and set it before Me, since I appointed an ancient people. Let them declare what is to come, and what will happen. Fear not, nor be afraid; have I not told you from of old and declared it? And you are my witnesses! Is there a God besides Me? There is no Rock; I know not any.” (Isaiah 44:6-8)
God told His people He is the only God. No one else is worthy of praise and worship. No one else can do the things our God does.
God even gave an example of something only a true God can do! God can tell the future because He knows EVERYTHING. What God says always comes true; He is never wrong. No one and nothing else can tell the future. God invites others to try. He knows they will fail because He is the only true God.
God also says we are witnesses of His existence! He created us, and we are proof He lives! YOU are proof of an all-powerful, one-of-a-kind God, and can tell others that there is NO ONE and NOTHING like our God!
Just like Earth has one sun, we have one God. Only God could create the sun, this world and everything in it with just His words. Only God can perfectly redeem His people, taking our sin and giving us His righteousness. Only God can completely forgive and end the separation between us and Him. Everything He does is perfect. There is NO ONE and NOTHING like our God!
