Jesus asked God the Father to send the Holy Spirit to believers to help guide us through life. We cannot do what the Holy Spirit does, but we can follow the example of Jesus and help others in need.
This week, help your child find a friend or family member who needs assistance with a chore or to-do item, and make time to help them out.

Explain to your child how the Holy Spirit guides us to God’s will for our lives. Life is like a map, and the Holy Spirit gives us spiritual directions on how to successfully navigate the map and know right from wrong.
Have your child draw a map of your home. Then help them write down directions for getting from the kitchen to their bedroom. Remind them that when we pray and ask for directions, the Holy Spirit will help guide us.
Find
This week’s verse is found in the book of John. Help your child find the book of John. Is this book in the Old or New Testament? How many chapters are there?
Navigate
The Holy Spirit guides believers to do what’s right. Like a compass, His ways are always true.
Find a compass (or use the one on your smartphone) and help your child determine which directions are east, west, north and south. Remind them that the Holy Spirit will guide them in the right direction if they follow His leading.
