Is the Bible Still Relevant Today?

Have you ever heard someone ridicule Scripture, calling it outdated or impractical? In a culture battling for our minds and lives, we are told the boundaries between right and wrong constantly change. But in Romans 12:1-2, Paul reminds us to not be conformed to this world, but [to] be transformed by the renewal of [our] mind. We don’t want our children shaped by today’s “relevant” culture. We want them transformed by the unchanging truths found in God’s Word.

When Daniel was taken into exile, the Babylonians pressured him to follow their ways. But Daniel knew God’s truth was the same in Babylon as in Israel. He continued to worship God daily, lived according to His ways and trusted God to protect him. Daniel was changed and shaped by the words of God and not by the culture around him.

This week, let’s remind our children that God’s Word endures forever. God’s truths apply just as much to our families today as they did to Daniel thousands of years ago. As you Talk About the relevance of Scripture this week, be encouraged. The Holy Spirit is actively building a foundation of truth in each member of your family. Let’s turn everyday moments into moments that matter, knowing God can use them to make an eternal difference.
